Promising Trends for 2023 Express Entry

For the third week in a row, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have held an all-program Express Entry (EE) draw inviting 7,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence (PR) in Canada. Marking a record for the largest all-program draw in history, which was set on March 15th, 2023. Additionally, in the most recent draw, candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 481 were invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada. This is a decrease of three points from the cut-off score in last week’s draw and a consecutive drop in the CRS score for the second week in a row, with a total drop of 9 points since the March 15th draw where the minimum CRS score was 490.

What is the Express Entry (EE) System?

The EE application management system is used by Canada’s federal government to handle immigration applications from three programs: the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). These programs work together to bring foreign skilled workers into the country, and Express Entry is one means of offering permanent residence (PR) to interested candidates.

Maximizing Your Chances of Success in the Express Entry System

To maximize your chances of success in the EE system, it’s important to have a strong CRS score. This score is based on factors such as education, language skills, work experience, and age. You can improve your CRS score by taking language classes, gaining more work experience, and earning additional education or professional certifications. You can also work with an immigration consultant or lawyer to ensure that your application is complete and meets all requirements. You can find our blog post on maximizing your CRS score HERE

Why Now is a Promising Time to Pursue Canadian PR through Express Entry

The recent all-program draws inviting 7,000 candidates to demonstrate that there is a high demand for skilled workers in Canada and that the Canadian government is actively seeking to attract foreign talent to help grow and develop the country’s economy. This is a promising time to try to immigrate to Canada and pursue personal and professional growth in a welcoming and diverse country.
